Building the investment side of the practice
Dev co-founded Dev Investment Consultants alongside Kaushik in 1994, and over the years took the lead on building out its mutual fund and investment planning practice, holding AMFI ARN 307065 as a registered mutual fund distributor. Where Kaushik's focus has stayed closest to protection, Dev spends most of his time helping clients turn savings into a plan - SIPs, lump-sum allocations, and goal-based portfolios built around a specific target rather than a generic model portfolio.
That's meant a lot of portfolio reviews that start with "what is this actually for" before any fund gets discussed. A retirement corpus, a child's education, a house down payment - each has a different time horizon and a different amount of risk that makes sense, and Dev's approach is to build the plan around the goal first, not the other way around.
